Over at the Lasker Summer Music Festival, under “Integrating Art and Faith” we found something called the “Musician’s Lectionary” which is a year’s worth of scriptural readings organized to show something of the story of music in the Bible. There is a reading for every week of the year. The readings might be particularly edifying if read on Sunday or Monday as you prepare for your work of the week ahead. You might also view these weekly readings as an invitation to pray for other musicians in their places of service. Check it out here.
