AdventureLand is an exciting new approach to Sunday School at Highland Baptist Church. Through AdventureLand, we hope to communicate the story of God’s activity, so that children and adults become faithful disciples of Jesus.

AdventureLand’s theme park setting creates an exciting environment, where children have the opportunity to build a solid foundation for Christian learning, while at the same time enjoy a time of fellowship and adventure that will keep them coming back for more.

AdventureLand offers something for everyone, from pre-school to adult, so get ready for the Adventure each Sunday!

Breakfast is available starting at 9:00 am each Sunday, so come on out, enjoy coffee, juice and muffins and join one of our exciting new AdventureLand programs.

AdventureLand Admittance

This is where everything starts. Here is where children will sign in, complete a warm-up activity, present offerings, and head down Memory Lane, where they will have an opportunity to recite the previous week’s age-appropriate Bible verse. Those successful at memorizing, will be rewarded with an opportunity to select a special prize at AdventureLand Outfitters, our store full of fun prizes for all.

Centre Stage

This is our next attraction. Here, children gather in a large group, to enjoy music, drama, storytelling and puppetry. Children of all ages will have an opportunity to participate in group discussion to enhance learning and understanding of the Bible message. You’ll never know what to expect at Centre Stage, so be sure to reserve your seat weekly!

Project Island

Just follow the bridge, and you will arrive in a place where games, crafts and experiments will start young minds thinking about the morning’s theme. Here, everyone has an opportunity to explore their creative side, while working on a project relating to the previous events at Centre Stage.

Adventure Tours

This is your final stop in AdventureLand. After your Island adventure, children will have an opportunity to break out into smaller peer groups, where Adventure Tour guides (Sunday School teachers/leaders) will help children explore a deeper, more personal meaning to today’s lesson. Our goal is to develop lasting relationships that will help children become faithful disciples of God.

Come and see what AdventureFun, Roller Coaster, Blast Off, Challenger, Drop Zone and New Horizons is all about, as our Tour Guides lead you through the fun at AdventureTours. Building up an appetite? We’ll also provide children with a snack during their tour.
